An exquisite corpse is when different creators take over telling a story, with no real prior knowledge of what came before them. It makes for a disjointed but often hilarious and very inventive tale. Last year, Adult Swim took on this sort of project with ADULT SWIM’S THE ELEPHANT, in which artists Ian Jones-Quartey, Patrick McHale, Rebecca Sugar, and Pendleton Ward passed off writing/creative duties on a singular story to create an unruly beast.

The official plot summary:

A three-act narrative experiment in which each creator or pair of creators develops a segment independently, without seeing what the others are making. Those acts are then woven into a single story.

ADULT SWIM’S THE ELEPHANT features the voices of Maria Bamford, SungWon Cho, and Jordan Jensen.
