On January 13, 2018, David Byrne joined Choir! Choir! Choir! at the Under The Radar Festival. The crowd were taught back ups to David Bowie’s ‘Heroes.’ They practiced for an hour.

Choir! Choir! Choir! is a project that was formed in 2011 by Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman. They tour around the world, working with various groups in each location to sing together and transform songs into a more communal experience. This particular even occurred at the Ford Foundation lobby of the Public Theater during the Under The Radar Festival. Byrne leads the choir in singing Bowie’s song (co-written by Brian Eno) to produce a beautiful, haunting, and uplifting version that will linger with you long after it ends.
