Honest Trailers: IDIOCRACY (2006)

Honest Trailers from Screen Junkies isn’t always a consistent offering. Sometimes, it can feel like nitpicking Cinema Sins leftovers. But most of the time it’s a pretty funny send up of films new and old that highlight some aspects that weren’t previously considered. On this, the eve of Fourth of July weekend in 2026, it feels appropriate to highlight the Honest Trailers for IDIOCRACY, the 2006 Mike Judge film that is hilarious but also mildly problematic if you think on it too hard (as the video points out). Still, it’s worth seeing the praise and critique of Judge’s comedy and all the various ways that it did prophecy certain aspects of our culture.
