LAIKA Reveals Mitch’s Boyfriend from PARANORMAN

It’s been 13 years since PARANORMAN came out and folks have been wondering…who is Mitch’s boyfriend? Teased at the very end of the film when Mitch, the musclebound brother of Neil, subverts expectations and reveals that he’s gay (much to the chagrin of Courtney), it was a nice moment of inclusion but also sparked more questions. Well, over a decade later and LAIKA Studios is ready to answer some of them. Chris Butler, writer/co-director of PARANORMAN, sits down with LAIKA Principal Character Designer Thibault Leclercq and LAIKA Development Art Director Iuri Lioi to finally give a face to this rom-com loving phantom.
