Yes, we just visited the Criterion Closet with Katya. But it’s never too soon to return when the person in the hallowed hall of cinema is Ryan Coogler. The esteemed filmmaker’s impressive film knowledge and wide-breadth of taste is on full display as he sorts through various titles. Coogler proved earlier this year that he’s a master at breaking down aspects of filmmaking and projecting, taking tired subjects and actually making them accessible and interesting.

He’s even more engaging as he talks about some of his favorite movies in the collection - ranging from Kurosawa to LOVE JONES, with some stopovers at Spike Lee and Michael Mann along the way (amongst others).
