STUNT ROCK (1978)

Thanks to Kino Cult, the entirety of 1978 movie STUNT ROCK is now available for free on YouTube.

Directed by Australian legend Brian Trenchard-Smith, here’s the plot summary of the movie:

While working on a TV show in Los Angeles, famed Australian stuntman Grant Page helps an up-and-coming fantasy-themed rock band develop special effects and dangerous stunts for their act.

That is very lofty for the film as it is barely a plot. Take Jackass, subtract the intentional humor and gross out elements, add a prog rock band with lots of onstage antics, and highlight one legendary stuntman…and that’s basically all of the 90 minutes.

It’s awesome.
