The Family, “Kathy Don’t Go”

Are cults really that bad? Yes. Yes, they are. But sometimes they accidentally do something…well, maybe not good but certainly interesting. The Family is a fairly awful organization who is deserving of mistrust, scorn, and probably multiple law enforcement investigations. But in 1985 they released a VHS and music album called SOS: 20 Minutes To Go which happens to contain a banger with “Kathy Don’t Go.” The song, which warns of the evils of barcode and aligns them with the Mark of the Beast, is batshit insane but very catchy with a deeply weird music video accompaniment.

Found Footage Fest recently re-uploaded the music video so you can enjoy this New Wave hit — but please don’t get indoctrinated into their weird bullshit! No ‘80s pop song is worth that mess.
