Each week, Neon Splatter contributors offer up some viewing options found on streaming (U.S. unless otherwise noted). Movies, TV shows, specials, and more. New and old, from all sorts of genres and nations. Most importantly, we deem them worthy of your time.

Alexis M. Collazo: DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow (2016 - 2022)

What It Is: Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter must recruit a ragtag team of heroes and villains to help prevent an apocalypse that could impact not only Earth, but all of time.

Where It Is: Netflix

Why You Should Watch It: “This is one of my comfort shows, what I turn to when I'm in a crappy mood and have no idea what to watch. It's silly and ridiculous—but fun and energetic. It also managed to suck me into finally giving the rest of the Arrowverse a chance.”

Jeremy Lowe: THE OLD DARK HOUSE (1932)

What It Is: Seeking shelter from a storm, five travelers are in for a bizarre and terrifying night when they stumble upon the Femm family estate.

Where It Is: Tubi

Why You Should Watch It:What might possibly be the first Queer horror movie in history should be required viewing for anyone that fancies themselves as a connoisseur of LGBTQ+ genre film. Besides having over the top characters, it may very well have created the blueprint for many cult classics with its "strangers breaking down and having to stay in a spooky house on a dark and stormy night" story arc. If you are able to read between the lines, and appreciate the coded language in this pre-ratings system thriller directed by openly gay horror maestro James Whale (FRANKENSTEIN), then this is a perfect film to view for the upcoming Pride season. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Rob Dean:  UNCAGED (2016)

What It Is: A zoo veterinarian is caught up in a grisly adventure as she leads the hunt for a monstrous lion terrorizing the Dutch capital of Amsterdam.

Where It Is: Tubi

Why You Should Watch It: “AKA PREY AKA PROOI. Look: it’s a lion let loose in Amsterdam and eating people. Either you’re totally on board for that or it’s simply not for you. The legendary Dick Maas (AMSTERDAMNED, THE LIFT) directs this terrifically gory and excessive film that feels akin to 1980’s ALLIGATOR.”
