PHANTOM QUARTZ (2024)

It’s always fun discovering new talent. Director Marc David’s PHANTOM QUARTZ is a great action short that has a convoluted hook but ultimately a simple premise—yes, it involves a magic stone and “Earth Chakras,” but mostly it’s about an agent (Alexandre Vu) who has to retrieve something from people that don’t want him to have it.

Vu (who also wrote the short) does an excellent job in the lead, with director David capturing a bunch of impressive stunts coordinated by Stunt Workshop International. There’s some motorcycle chasing, lots of fights, and even a guy on fire! PHANTOM QUARTZ is a delightful short with dope visuals that will hopefully lead to more work for these folks.
