Rick Springfield, “Dance This World Away”

Recently, Todd In The Shadows covered Rick Springfield’s less-than-stellar 1985 album, Tao for his Trainwreckords series. While Todd found some saving graces from that record, one single that he didn’t care for was “Dance This World Away.” Respectfully, I must disagree with that assessment as it’s a pretty fun song (albeit a dark one about weapons of mass distraction while the world falls apart) and more importantly it has an amazing music video. Which comes as no surprise when you learn that David Fincher directed it!

Enjoy this oddball throwback and maybe you’ll also like it more than expected.
