STEAK DINNER (2025)

A delightfully bizarre short from writer/director/editor Nathan Mark Ginter, 2025’s STEAK DINNER starts off incredibly simple before it becomes an absurdly dark tale. The plot summary:

Casey’s attempted surprise dinner date gets derailed when Taylor, her girlfriend, reveals she has brought home a strange, wounded creature she intends to nurse back to health.

The short stars Lucy Idella and Ruby Cruz and was selected by Sean Baker for the ANORA x Kodak Short Film Contest, through which the short was shot on 16mm with NEON and Kodak’s support. It looks gorgeous and is impressively odd, and I can’t wait to see what all involved do in the future.
