Todd in the Shadows looks at Limp Bizkit

Todd in the Shadows has multiple recurring segments on his channel. Sometimes he looks at one hit wonders, sometimes he looks at the best (and worst) pop songs of the year, and sometimes he investigates a befuddling choice by a musical artist that utterly derailed their careers. This last segment, called “TRAINWRECKORDS,” is a fascinating examination of bizarre decisions and musicality that produces not just a bad album but one that effectively altered that musician’s trajectory with heinous reception from fans and critics alike.

The latest installment of TRAINWRECKORDS focuses on Limp Bizkit’s 2003 album, Results May Vary. Todd in the Shadows looks at what went into the making of this abomination, why it fails so spectacularly, and how the fallout put a pin on the nu-metal scene of the late-’90s/early-’00s.
